Work

Here’s a collection of my work

Cinematic content for The FA

Media: Film, Social Media

Client: Little Thief Studio / Wembley Stadium

Role: Creative Director / Studio Producer

I have overseen the production of high-end football content, as a creative director and studio producer for Little Thief Studio, embedded with the FA at Wembley Stadium.

The team covers work for England’s national teams, across major sporting events such as the World Cup and FA Cup. Along side work for The FA, and Wembley Stadium. The content is fine-tuned for social channels and reaches millions of viewers.

Branded Content for Danone

Media: Film, Animation, Interactive Video, Photography

Client: Danone / Danone Nutricia / Nutricia Research / Havas

Role: Creative Director / Camera / Editor

I have overseen creative content for Danone / Nutricia for over a decade. Producing mixed media outputs for multiple ad campaigns, product launches and educational initiatives.

My work has been all about producing emotive, relatable content for people who suffer with rare metabolic, and allergic conditions. Our work touches on their day to day struggles, giving an insight in their world, but also give voice and inspiration to the other children and adults watching who share these lifestyles.

From video documentaries, animation explainer videos, educational tools, interactive websites - I covered the gamut of mixed media outputs as a creative director. Working with marketing teams across the organisation in Asia, EU and the US.

Documentary for Guide Dogs

Client: The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association / Proximity

Role: Creative Director, Editor (Offline/Online)

We told the story of Steve, who had found confidence and a new purpose for living, thanks to his guide dog. We weaved interviews with him, his family and friends as he went about his daily life, to build a rounded, down to earth human portrait of a life transformed.

RNIB have an ongoing marketing agenda, to continually drive salience and engagement amongst existing and potential donors.

Traditionally, marketing has focused on the dog. Our vision was to generate empathy with the visually impaired, through their own personal journeys through blindness.

‘Remote’ TV Ads for NOOM

Client: NOOM / Creature

Role: Director / Editor (Offline)

The revolutionary psychology-based diet app NOOM was rolling out in the UK - during the height of the first lockdown. I used my expertise working with real consumers to help recruit, coach and ultimately produce TV worthy ads shot completely remotely.

Working with the participants throughout we were able to capture natural, authentic brand endorsements that hit all the client’s messaging - within the short 30 second running time. And most importantly in the users’ own words.

The ads aired on ITV, Channel 4 as well as many social and online channels.

Content for Mercedes-Benz

Client: Mercedes-Benz / Rapp

Role: Creative Director / Editor

Mercedes-Benz needed a launch video for their Freedom of the Road initiative, an industry-changing offering to generate goodwill and loyalty with their lifelong customers.

The challenge was to capture that sense of freedom when taking a long drive, away from the humdrum of everyday life. We recruited real Mercedes customers not actors to get a real sense of an everyday customer partaking in an epic trip. Through pitching, storyboarding directing and editing I had a strong hand throughout.

This was displayed in showrooms across the UK and EU and also online. It’s one of a series of video content made for Mercedes-Benz UK.

Doc series about ‘Bodyhackers’

Client: Ongoing personal documentary series.

Role: Camera / Director

California is the transhumanist capital of the world. So much so, the politician Zoltan Istvan is making a bid for Governor of California in the 2018 election under a Libertarian Party ticket.

Like all Transhumanists, Istvan believes in using science and technology to enhance human capabilities beyond our current mental and physical limitations. Be smarter, live longer, be stronger? It’s your right to achieve that in any way you see fit, even if it means you trade a piece of you for a robotic part.

This is a first in an ongoing documentary project about Transhumanism, the next shoot profiles a punk body-modder - a far-cry from the polished, transhumanist politician.

Music Videos

Client: Warner Records, Bella Union, None Such, End of The Road Films

Role: Producer / Director / Animator

I have directed and produced music videos for artists under Warner Records, Bella Union and None Such. Heading the team at End of The Road films, a sub-brand of the famous music festival and artist management outfit.

Our ambitious concepts ranged from stop-motion animation, rigging high wire walkers in remote Scotland, to webbing a maze of coloured yarn in the woods. Our passion was producing inventive, visually inspiring work with economic budgets.

Performer Profiles for Puma

Client: Puma

Role: Creative Director

Puma Marketing teams had identified a new strategic consumer profile known as the ‘performer.’ These ambitious, creative young people were trend-setters and potential brand ambassadors. We flew out to 6 countries to conduct video and photojournalism of carefully recruited performers. We met a hip hop dancer, photographer and athlete among others. Our documentary films where shared across the organisation to give teams a real sense of who a performer was.

Doc for BAMM Films

Taxi Drivers and Dreams

Jumping in and out of taxis all over the world, I started to wonder about taxi drivers themselves. The short film tells the story of the drivers we spoke to, and their perceptions of their cities, their lives and their dreams.

I shot, produced and co-directed this film which was broadcast in Norway as part of a wider selection of documentaries.
